Scaticook: 1) скатикук

Индейская община, состоящая из потомков общины индейцев пекот [Pequot], возглавлявшейся вождем Сассакусом [Sassacus]. Последняя была вытеснена с юго-востока Коннектикута и поселилась в верховьях р. Хусатоник [Housatonic River] на западе Коннектикута около 1735, вобрав в себя остатки некоторых алгонкинских [Algonquian] племен Новой Англии [New England]; первоначально называлась пишгачтигок [Pishgachtigok], позднее стала называться скатикук; современное написание - скагтикоук [Schaghticoke]
